In technological processes for collecting visual information and performing interface control in the mentioned spaces, a control automation system (SCADA) is used, which is placed on the side of the system oriented to the operator.
The reliability of the system established in the management of tunnels is of great importance in terms of security. When designing the length of the tunnel and the intersection of vehicle roads, ventilation, fire alarms, fire extinguishing, surveillance cameras, traffic, energy and communication, and infrostructure are taken into account. The main purpose of this system is to ensure uninterrupted operation of the tunnel.
Energy in tunnels is a necessary condition for the operation of other systems existing there. During the operation of the tunnel, in case of possible interruption in the supply of electricity, an uninterrupted supply system (UPS) and generators should be used so that there is no failure in the operation of the system.
Through PLC and SCADA, which have an important role in tunnel management, it is possible to remotely monitor all systems in the tunnels and, if necessary, carry out control.
